Security Privacy Policy
We respect the privacy requirements of our clients. Client confidentiality in relation to data, knowledge, and correspondence, in whatever form, is maintained both during and after every assignment. We are prepared to sign non-disclosure agreements, if required.
Encryption
If a client wishes to communicate with us in ciphertext for the purpose of commercial confidentiality, we can use PGP, a defence-standard cryptosystem. Our public key and digital signature can be downloaded from the certificate server located at http://certserver.pgp.com. [Key ID = 0x286E33F6]
Important: Under the Regulations of Investigative Powers Act (2000), the British Government can ask a British citizen to disclose the key required to decrypt a ciphertext created by one of their encryption keys. Failure to do so can result in a fine and/or imprisonment. Clearly, InferSpace will be obliged to cooperate with a request for key disclosure made by a British enforcement agency.
Important: If you decide to communicate with InferSpace via a cryptosystem, it is your responsibility to find out whether it is legal for you to use the cryptosystem in your country and whether it is legal for you to send ciphertext via your chosen Internet route. InferSpace absolves itself of this responsibility. If you decide to use PGP, you must ensure that you are downloading the appropriate version: clients living outside Canada and the US should not download the American version of PGP, because this would violate US export laws. The international version of PGP, on the other hand, is not affected by export restrictions.
